Ilja's Assimila Paris Spring 2016 Runway

A pleasant surprise, Ilja's SS16 haute couture show may have been her best yet. Labelled 'Assimila' the collection is inspired by the skin and highlighted through her signature shapes, emotions, energies and imagination. Similar to the way skin adapts to its environment, Ilja wanted her soft hyper flexible weave to do the same as each piece glided down the runway. A fluid and aesthetically pretty range, she brings a nonchalance and sophisticated everyday cool to couture that is refreshing to the eye. The softer feminine side of Ilja's signature style has definitely created a collection that we will always remember.
