The Westin Fiji Denarau // Experience Luxury

A hidden oasis awaits on Denarau Island, welcome to The Westin Fiji. A resort playground of tropical bliss, this home away from home is much more than just a hotel. As a Starwood property, The Westin shares it's luxurious grounds with it's sister hotels on the island meaning you can stay at one but play at three - now that's the ultimate island holiday! Plus remember my Sheraton Tokoriki travel diary from earlier this year, it's available as a day trip as another Starwood resort exclusive.

The grounds are luxurious and impressive, from the moment you check-in you're welcomed with a refreshing drink and are taken by golf buggy to your room. I was was able to experience the new Westin Renewal Spa Studio rooms, talk about relaxation. Nothing quite says paradise like your own private pool and balcony, unlike most the deck area is generous and the plunge pool spacious. If that wasn't enough to tempt you, each room features a comfy canopy bed fit for royalty and a stunning bathroom complete with double showers and a jacuzzi. Leave your troubles behind at the door, you don't even have to leave the room.

Just outside lies the serene adults only pool, air-conditioned gym and a wet bar. A personal highlight of mine as I could have fresh towels and drinks in my own plunge pool - it felt like I had a personal concierge just a few metres away (uh yes!). Less than a minute's walk was the popular Heavenly Day Spa, each treatment room is located in an open Fijian bure overlooking the tranquil lily pond. Unwind in outdoor rain showers and milk baths whilst enjoying a massage from the friendly and skilled therapists - hello tropical heaven!

Fijian sunsets are something you have to add to your bucketlist, jaw-droppingly beautiful and exploding in colour. The Westin's sister hotel The Sheraton Denarau has the hidden advantage of being the only hotel with a dead-on view of sunset. Just imagine private beachfront dining against that unforgettable view! Now if I wasn't laying by any of the 6 swimming pools, I was exploring the 14 dining options or enjoying the hotel's daily activities such as aqua aerobics. Trust me after all the delicious food on hand I needed the workout every day (haha!). I hope you've been inspired to experience Fiji in Westin style, it's truly a must-do for every wanderer!
