Ellery Opens MBFWA 2015 In Style

Carriageworks was abuzz last night as iconic internationally successful Australian designer Ellery opened Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in style with a graceful ballerina performance from The Australian Ballet Company. As if that wasn't enough supermodel Gemma Ward's highly-anticipated comeback to MBFWA had the crowd cheering as she dramatically emerged out of the mist to walk the runway. Ellery's signature rule-breaking silhouettes and timeless Parisian-esque style did all the talking as her designs strutted down the catwalk with each piece leaving us wanting more. This collection was all about luxe layering, flares, tailored suiting, perfect pleats, stand-out coats and rich textures were highlighted with pops of soft blue, burnt orange and dusty pink amidst a classic monochrome palette. Under bursts of confetti and a waterfall of sparkling glitter, the finale walk was fitting for a woman who's basically our very own designer Beyonce - in the words of Taylor Swift.....Kym Ellery, you truly never go out of style!
