Guo Pei Wows At Paris Couture Fashion Week

Having caught the world's attention by creating Rihanna's much-talked about Met Gala masterpiece, Chinese-born designer Guo Pei has just made her Paris Couture Fashion Week debut. An achievement in itself, Guo is the first born-and-raised Asian designer to be invited to become a guest member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. Inspired by Spring flowers for femininity and the phoenix for peace and purity, this breathtakingly regal collection had traditional Chinese influences like gold tassles, intricate threadwork embroidery over silk, adornments and long trains. Listed as one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people of 2016, her career is quickly taking the fast track to being a household name - I wouldn't be surprised to be hearing a lot more about this talented designer in the future.
