Karen Walker's NYFW Fall 2015 Time Machine

Karen Walker's designs have always been formed out of utilitarian chic, this Fall 2015 New York Fashion Week season stayed true to this essential essence of her brand. An ode to time-travel, Walker was inspired by the 70s sci-fi detective TV show Sapphire and Steel and its' tough yet glamourous heroine Joanna Lumley. Functional and strong, her latest runway was full of retro colours, florals, stained-glass clocks and television-static inspired prints emphasising the Karen Walker woman's ability to slip between worlds with agility and class. Denim, sheepskin coating, chunky knitwear, wools and silks were accented with killer accessories built for the journey. All in all, another must-have collection from this much-loved New Zealand native.
