NYFW Spring 2015 Runway Report: David Tlale, Pamella Roland and Herve Leger

David Tlale's vibrant and printed collection was a talented collection of feminine beauty that you couldn't take your eyes off. Tlale always stays true to his rich cultural heritage with African inspired prints and earthy colours taking centre stage. Playing with texture and shape, his beautiful feathered and crystal details shone out under the runway spotlight and his flowing vs structured shapes added to the drama. Titled "Feminine Allure" Tlale wanted to give power back to women and equip them with a strong sense of confidence - what a show!

Always a visually stunning show Pamella Roland's Spring 2015 collection sparkled with peaceful beauty and a sense of feminine tranquility. Inspired by her travels to Japan, she wanted to capture the serene spirit of the Gardens of Kyoto. Full of elegance and grace, her flowing designs glided down the runway with glittering beaded textures taken from cherry blossom designs and zen gardens. Utilising orgami folding techniques into Roland's work with a unique fisl-coupe fabric that mimicked the Japanese artist Toko Shinoda's brush strokes. With Australia's very own Alexandra Ambrosio closing the show, it was definitely one to remember!

Herve Leger's New York Fashion Week show never fails to pack the tents, one of the most crowded shows at Lincoln the buzz and anticipation is always high. Known for his signature bodycon dresses, this season's neutral palettes were offset by tones of hibiscus, coral and aqua. Orgami bandage fitted perfectly into Leger's iconic technique contrasted by couture beading and metal weaving. He looked to Japan's onna-bugeisha women warriors who when needed had to draw arms alongside the samurai, their remarkable journeys and feminine strength can be seen in his new designs - fearless glamour for his loyal customers and celebrity fans.
