MBFWA opened with Australian icon and queen of elegance Carla Zampatti, a lady known for her ability to perfectly combine Australian creativity with Italian style since 1965. She surprised us with an array of vibrant colours popping amidst her traditional black and white palette highlighting her exquisitely crafted gowns. Sheer panels, floral applique, flowing gowns and classic modern yet silhouettes were her focus leading Zampatti to yet another winning collection and quite the start to MBFWA!
Aurelio Costarella is another couture designer with his designs gracing the red carpet on many occasions, proving this season's focus again on colour perth-based Costarella wowed with vibrant hues that really made his runway pop. From fitted bodices and flowing silks to edgy leathers and feminine feathers his SS15 collection played to the modern girl at heart. One winning beauty creation for MBFWA, Costarella's colour-streaked high hair was hard to keep your eye off accentuating each look perfectly.
By Johnny is known for his form-fitting silhouettes and colour-mixed designs, this year he did not disappoint incorporating colour-blocking and geometric panels that flowed with the female figure in all the right ways.
