Sass & Bide's Spring 2012 London Fashion Week Show
Aussie designers Sass & Bide had all of us awaiting their iconic styles at LFW, however once the models hit the catwalk Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke surprised us all. In an intriguing turn of events it seems their latest Spring 2012 collection embraced minimalist principles and simpler silhouettes, very unlike their previous piled-on collections. It was a neon and futuristic flavour that gave an ere of Aztec tribal inspiration with vinyls, metallic leathers, beading, silks, taffetas and neoprene all making an appearance. There were elements of their old iconic aesthetics however their new approach felt fresh, light and ultra modern. It was a show of opposing forces at its greatest.
